About

Ellie at work

Hi there, my name is Ellie, and I'm the pair of hands behind the pliers!

Rindill Makes grew out of my lifelong interests in history, fantasy and traditional crafts, and now I enjoy creating modern wearable chainmail with an alternative twist.

I create everything you see on the site by hand using traditional chainmail weaves, and each piece is made to order.

I also love taking commissions! Do you have a vision in mind? A D&D character who needs some splendour? Are you getting married and want an alternative matching set? Get in touch using the Contact form and let me make you something incredible!

Below you'll find some more information on orders, shipping, and jewellery care.

Orders
Each piece is made by hand once your order is placed, so please allow 1-2 weeks’ for your order to be made before it is shipped.

Shipping
I offer Royal Mail Tracked 24 or 48 services, and provide tracking numbers so that you can locate your order. Alternatively, I offer a free local pickup service if I will be appearing at a market. If I have no markets planned, this option will not show as available.

Refunds and Exchanges
All sales are final, so please be sure that you really want your piece. Rindill Makes is not responsible for missing, lost or stolen packages, or for delays to shipping, and cannot offer refunds for these reasons.

Repairs
I offer free lifetime repairs or resizing on all products, please just get in touch to discuss.

Jewellery Care
Most of the pieces I create are made with stainless steel, which is hypoallergenic, can be worn in water, and will not rust or tarnish. Where another material has been used for findings or as part of the design of any stainless steel jewellery, this is noted on the product page.

I occasionally also use jewellers’ brass for the “golden” jewellery I offer. Jewellers’ brass will not turn your skin green, however all brass will tarnish over time with exposure to air or water. To limit this, when you’re not wearing your pieces it’s best to keep them sealed away in a box or airtight bag. If they do start to tarnish, you can use a jewellery cloth to shine them back up again. These are easily purchased online or in jewellery shops.

For all pieces, you can safely wash them in soap and water.
